Cain Cuts Hand While Slicing Sandwich, Lands On The DL

Set to take the mound for the first time in almost two weeks, Matt Cain has been place on the DL after injuring his hand. It seems the noted pitched sliced his hand while cutting a sandwich — specifically, he hurt himself while trying to pick up the knife. Ow.

"It's on the forefinger about half an inch, but it's in a bad spot there," manager Bruce Bochy told CBS SF.

Cain is now on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 24. Yusmeiro Petit will go on in Cain's place.

Speaking of sandwiches, Lincecum appears to really like them.

Sweet Jesus, Make It Stop: Pablo Sandoval Is Injured!

Oh geez. The San Francisco Giants were dealt another blow after Pablo Sandoval, arguably the team's best hitter, fractured his left hamate bone. (It's the "small, hook-like bone at the base of the hand, near the wrist.") If you recall, Sandoval injured right right hamate bone last season, which resulted surgery and six weeks on the DL. As The Splash points out, "clearly this is another major, traumatic blow for a team that already has lost closer Brian Wilson for the season."

Although Sandoval missed 41 games last season due to the same injury. the Giants did well. That was then. The Giants need runs. Now it's going to be that more difficult. Anyway, no word yet as to if he's officially on the DL and for how long, but it doesn't look good.

Guess what time it is, kids? Smear tactics time! We came across this jarring and chortle-worthy footage, claiming that possible presidential candidate, Barack Obama, is on the down-low. The Harpo DL, if you will. We're being told he could have engaged in bear-ish homosexual activity, is what we're saying.

Do we believe it? Meh. Is it exciting to speculate and think about? But of course.

Have no fear, fans of Obama, or...whoever you're under the misguided notion still has a shot. Tomorrow we'll present to you a piping-hot anti-Hillary video. Trouble is. we're having a difficult time narrowing them down to just one.
