Barack Obama Rising in California -- Rally at City Hall

Local eBay wunderkind, former State Controller, and Obama California co-chair Steve Westly fired up the crowd on the steps of City Hall yesterday among a crowd of supporters that included District Attorney Kamala Harris, and Supervisors Tom Ammiano, Chris Daly, Bevan Dufty, Sophie Maxwell, and Aaron Peskin.

Guess what, San Franciscans. Your vote might actually affect a Presdential election for the first time in a long time. It seems Obama and Clinton are the "focus of local politics". And one of them has a campaign with all the momentum of a runaway freight train. (As goes craigslist founder Craig Newmark, so goes California?)

Of course Hillary Clinton is still a formidable candidate, especially in the bigger states. This all adds up to a certain humdinger of an election. This campaign trail is heading right to your doorstep, San Francisco. The establishment vs. the indies -- who will win? Enjoy your evanescent enfranchisement while it lasts!

California - you can change history for the better - and not be party to a deceitful Clinton past.

Go Obama!

Voting Obama ... definitely.

This guy inspires young people to get involved ... just like Governor Howard Dean .... just don't scream, Barack! Young people have to pay the debts for the politically convenient spending decisions of elected officials (see today's Governor talk about cutting public schools out of $4.5 billion ... and meanwhile healthcare costs keep going up at a rate above inflation (meaning there's already an implied cut each year for teacher's health insurance payments).

Go Obama!

Proud to be a part of Obamarama!

This is it kids. This is our RFK moment.

Let's not blow it.

Go Obama!

A pound member of Women For Obama!

I dropped my absentee ballot in the mail this morning. EDWARDS '08.

I can't get behind a candidate who tours with a preacher who claims to "pray the gay away."

A new convert to Obama after Edwards fizzled, although if Hillary wins, I will happily support her.

Go Hillary!!!

I'm wondering who Mirkarimi is supporting...

Meanwhile, the JFK/RFK comparisons are making me increasingly nervous given the assassinations.

Well... nobody wants to say it, but we all know he's going to need extra security. I'm voting for Hillary, but I also support Obama and I have to admit, if he were voted in I'd be keeping my fingers crossed behind my back.

I wonder, if voted in, if Hillary will also need extra security. Are there as many crazy women-haters out there as there are crazy racists?

If Obama is holding up K-Spice as "the future of justice" then that's reason enough NOT to vote for him.
