You already knew that following last weekend's shows at the Paramount, purple polymath Prince stuck around in the Bay Area, announcing another "surprise" gig at Oracle Arena for tonight. And last night he stopped by the Golden State Warriors game to check the joint out, taking a truly royal stroll. Like this:

The artist, who NBC Bay Area's Cheryl Hurd reports was greeted with a standing ovation when he entered the arena, then took his seat like this:

Slay! I don't even know who was playing at this game. #Prince

Back on the actual basketball court, the Warriors tied an NBA record by winning their 44th straight regular-season home game, for a 121-106 triumph over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team, whose practice was attended Thursday by the Rev. Jesse Jackson, is now 55-5 for the season.

Following the game, Warriors MVP Steph Curry told reporters that he's been to a couple of Prince concerts, so for the artist to "return the favor" was "pretty special."

"I was digging the outfit, and the cane," Curry said.

As of publication time tickets in the $199-500 range are still available on Ticketmaster for tonight's show, which is scheduled to kick off at 9 p.m.
