Groupon, the deals site we all know and love and also still kind of hate, has come under fire for offering a half-off deal to noted local porn studio Kink.com's tours of the (historically significant!) San Francisco Armory. As NBC Bay Area reports, anti-porn group The War on Illegal Pornography is calling for a boycott of the entire deals site for as long as the Chicago-based company is running a promotion for the tour.

The War on Illegal Pornography is a coalition of folks from Morality in the Media, and their beef with the deal, it seems, is the part that mentions lucky attendees may get the chance to observe a live shoot of "sadomasochistic, torture porn". While Kink's material does tend to feature a lot of BDSM and related fetishes, Groupon maintains that they've thoroughly vetted the Armory tour and they've found Kink.com to be "a responsible member of the community." Like when they offered the place up as a community center a while back.

This actually isn't the first time Kink's Armory tours have been offered at discount prices. Tours used to be exclusive and invitation-only It was on Groupon once before back in January, and Yelp offered a similar deal over a year ago without experiencing the same backlash. Anyhow, we doubt the massive Groupon is too concerned about the boycott. As of this writing over 120 eager porn tourists have signed up to buy the deal, which includes two tickets (you know, for you and your date) for a reasonable $28. And the deal is still open, by the way, so now would be lovely time to support your local neighborhood porn studio.
