Although the San Francisco Giants managed to hold on to slugger Pat Burrell for an extra year in the wake of the 2010 World Series, the occasional kinkster's injury-laden 2011 season seems to have crippled the future of his baseball career. Speaking to AP reporters this afternoon, Burrell explained, "I have not decided yet, but I don't think I can play anymore. It hurts me to say that."

The 35-year-old Burrell only took the field 92 times this season, missing a 43 late-season games in a row thanks to the foot strain that put him on the Giants disabled list. With the Giants, Burrell batted .266 with 18 home runs and 51 RBIs in 96 games.

He's a local boy — from San Jose — so, if he does make the decision to permanently sit the bench, we expect he's still got a nice career playing wingman to Brian Wilson at Marina Bars in front of him. In related news, the "Pat Burrell's Penis" twitter account has already gone limp.
