This week you have the opportunity to catch a bunch of bands that were just here in the past few months. This time they are all playing different venues. First off, tonight Basia Bulat will be opening for Devotchka at the Fillmore. Last time we saw her she was at Bottom of the Hill. Her stuff was good then; it still is. If you haven't checked her new album out, listen here.
Oregon natives, Oh Darling, played the Red Devil Lounge at the beginning of April but this Thursday they'll be rocking Hotel Utah. The best part: The Kin will be opening. We've touted The Kin as one of our favorite live acts ever. They even landed in our "Top 15 Albums of 2007" list. These two Australian brothers know how to rock. Whatever you do this week, do not miss this show. For only seven dollars, you'll definitely get your money's worth. We promise.
Friday night, 80's icons, Duran Duran will be playing at Concord's Sleep Train Pavilion. They rocked Broadway awhile back to critical acclaim. It sounds like a smashing good time. Later this week, you'll be able to win tickets to Grand Ole Party's show at the Fillmore on Saturday night. They recently opened for Vampire Weekend back in December at The Independent. They'll be opening for Oakland's Rouge Wave.
