A lot of tickets have already been sold, and fans of Tyler, the Creator will be disappointed to learn that he will not be making a return visit to Outside Lands this year after all.
Without further explanation, Tyler cancelled summer appearances at both Lollapalooza and Outside Lands, posting the news in a tweet Thursday morning. The Outside Lands account on X referred to Tyler dropping out for "personal reasons."
"i made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were," he wrote, adding, "that is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person."
i hate saying this but

Another Planet Entertainment, the promoters and curators of Outside Lands, appeared to be prepared for the news, announcing minutes after Tyler's tweet that popular singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter would be replacing Tyler on the lineup, becoming the new headliner for Saturday, August 10.
Today also happened to be the day that Sabrina Carpenter announced her "Short 'n' Sweet" North American tour, which also includes a November 9 date at SF's Chase Center.
Carpenter has had some meteoric success in recent months, and this week claimed two of the top three slots on the Billboard Hot 100 for her singles "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" — this is actually the first time in Hot 100 history that a solo artist has claimed two of the top three slots simultaneously.
Both songs are singles on Carpenter's upcoming sixth studio album, due out August 23, which is called Short 'n' Sweet.
Like Sturgil Simpson, who is also headlining Outside Lands this year, Carpenter is an actor as well as a musician, and has appeared on the Disney series Girl Meets World, and the remake of Adventures in Babysitting. She also appeared in the 2018 film The Hate U Give, and the Netflix movies Tall Girl, and Tall Girl 2.
Carpenter's highest-charting album to date was her fifth, 2022's Emails I Can't Send. And some of her recent success is surely attributable to her opening for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour.
Tyler, the Creator last performed at Outside Lands in 2021.
Outside Lands single-day general admission ($199) and VIP ($469) tickets are still available, and three-day passes are reportedly down to limited numbers.
