As we noted here this morning, the shooting happened at 10:30 p.m. Thursday and the station was briefly closed down as a result, though it's unclear whether the victim, a 17-year-old girl, was riding on BART prior to the shooting or not.
The incident occurred on the 7th Street side of the station.
As the Examiner reports, Oakland Police officers along with BART Police apprehended a 16-year-old male suspect outside his home after witnesses were able to identify him.
