Two people who were waiting for Muni were hurt this morning, when a driver struck them as they stood.
Police say that the collision occurred at 3:30 a.m. on the 5700 block of Mission Street, which is between Farragut Avenue and Laura Street. According to the San Francisco Police Department, a 19-year-old male driver "veered from a lane of traffic onto the sidewalk."
He then drove into a Muni bus stop. A 55-year-old woman and another woman of unspecified age who were both waiting for Muni were injured in the crash, police say.
Both were transported to San Francisco General Hospital. According to the SFPD, the 55-year-old suffered injuries that she's expected to survive, but the other woman was in life-threatening condition.
Police say that the driver was arrested at the scene of the collision, but didn't provide additional details on the circumstances of the wreck or the charges he faces as of publication time.
