A trio of muggers jumped a man on a tony San Francisco block, knocking him to the ground and stealing his cell phone.

Police say that the crime occurred the night before Thanksgiving, on the 2100 block of Chestnut Street, which is between Fillmore and Pierce Streets.

At 9 p.m., according to the San Francisco Police Department, a 58-year-old man who was holding his cell phone was approached from behind by a man in his 50s. That man, police say, slapped the victim in the face and hand, knocking the phone to the ground.

That's when two more suspects approached, men in their 20s. Those guys, police say, "tackled [the victim] to the ground," and took his phone.

The trio fled east on Chestnut, police say, leaving the victim with non-life-threatening injuries. As of Monday morning, police say that the cell-phone stealing men remain on the loose, and no arrests have been made in the case.
