Season two of Transcendent, the reality TV show that highlights the trans performers of AsiaSF, premiered last night on Fuse. Just like with the trailer for season one, the second season looks like it will be a one part heartwarming story and one part classic reality show drama (think Real Housewives).
If you followed the first season, you'll recognize the women — Nya, Bionka, L.A., Xristina, and Bambiana — who both grace the television screen and the SoMa stage at the popular nightclub and restaurant that is AsiaSF.
Following shortly on the heels of North Carolina's attack on LGBTQ rights (although, thankfully, here in SF that can seem far away), the fact that the show was renewed for a second season feels like a breath of fresh air.
Transcendent airs Wednesdays at 11:30 p.m. on Fuse.
