The semi-big Napa music and food fest known as BottleRock, now in its third year at the Napa Valley Expo center, is just getting underway in the last hour, and it looks lik $149 one-day passes are still available, if you want to hop up there to see Imagine Dragons this evening.
Other headliners tomorrow and Sunday include the great Robert Plant, Snoop Dogg, Passion Pitt, Capital Cities, Public Enemy, No Doubt, Los Lobos, and the Gypsy Kings. See all the set times and lineup here. Music is happening on four separate stages, with a fifth being the "culinary" stage featuring pairings of musicians and chefs, with secret foodies like Snoop Dogg participating in cooking demos throughout the weekend.
As ABC 7 reports in the clip below, last summer's earthquake actually brought an added benefit for the venue: Three buildings at the Napa Valley Expo had to be torn down, which made setup a lot easier and is expected to improve the flow of foot traffic around the festival grounds.
Entrances to the fest are on Third Street in downtown Napa, and on Burnell Street. It goes through Sunday night at 10 p.m., and local businesses are preparing for some late nights with a lot of stumbling drunks in town. Says Jennifer Coleman of The Thomas and Fagiani's Bar in the center of downtown, "Everyone, when the festival is over, walks over here. It's almost like an apocalypse."
