You know what sucks? Walking back to your car after leaving a restaurant, only to find a #parkingticket. #mealticket pic.twitter.com/5Ry4UsUNj3

Double check that potential parking ticket today because Kitchit, a startup that books chefs to come to your home, has launched an, um, unconventional marketing campaign that's already confusing and upsetting San Franciscans.
As Eater reports, the company's soon-to-be-fired marketing team dreamt up the nightmarish idea of distributing fake parking tickets, modeled rather closely on actual SFDPT ones, that are in fact "#mealtickets" or 25 percent off promotional fliers. Though the deal isn't bad, you really can't put a price on that sinking feeling of noticing what looks like a ticket on your car.
"Sorry to punk you!" reads the back of the ticket, "We just really wanted you to know about Kitchit." Dear brands, do not punk anyone. You are not punks; you are brands.
"No one cares for flyers anymore. But what if we make them look like parking tickets"-worst #marketing idea @Kitchit pic.twitter.com/HtmL3JeaG9

@dacawa We didn't mean to get you upset. We just really want you to eat well and enjoy 25% off while doing it. Have a great day!
