There won't be any three hour lines, as is customary at Austin's renowned Franklin Barbecue. Instead, just expect a mad dash to click fast on tickets for pitmaster Aaron Franklin's San Francisco pop-up, the dates for which were announced today.

It's going down over the course of two nights, Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th, on the loading dock of Smokestack, Magnolia's Dogpatch brewery and barbecue joint.

There, Aaron and the SF-based coauthor of his book, Jordan Mackay, will be hanging out, slinging plates of barbecue (including brisket, Franklin's most sought-after item) and offering up two beers, a copy of the book, and dessert for $130 a head.

Those tickets are sure to sell out heartbreakingly fast when the go on sale this Friday on Eventbrite at 9 a.m. There's a two per person limit and they're non transferrable.

In 2009, Franklin launched his barbecue joint, which has purportedly sold out of brisket every day since and moved to a brick and mortar location in 2011. The same, surely, will be true in SF.
