It's still hard to believe that Barry Zito, who turned back into a pumpkin after his magical 2012 October, managed to land himself a deal this winter. If you're a skeptic, understandably, here is video evidence that Zeets is back in an A's uniform. Appropriately grainy like it's the Zapruder film:

Is that the signature 12-6 curve I see?! Zeets told The Chronicle's Susan Slusser that he would be returning to his old pitch repertoire that he had with the A's, scrapping the cutter and going with his curve and changeup as secondary offerings.

As for the fastball? "I couldn’t tell you his velo, but it certainly wasn’t 85 mph—I would wager high 80s, and it looked firmer than that," his workout catcher told The Chronicle.

Look out, MLB! Barry is back from a year of surfing a found a little life in that arm of his. He hopes his rebirth will land him a spot in the A's rotation. "I've conditioned my body, my mind, my arm, everything to be a starter this year. That's certainly my focus," said Zito.

Jokes aside, it's nice to see you back Barry.
