Have you ever been in triangle pose, savasana, or child's pose and thought "yoga would be so much better if I were high"? Well, that's fantastic, because local instructor Dee Dussault has recently launched a class with you, yes, you in mind.

According to Dussault, her six-week-old San Francisco Ganja Yoga class "treats cannabis as a medicine and spiritual aid" and is a chance "for you to enjoy trippy relaxation, pain-relief, sensuality, and the cultivation of inner peace, through all-levels, relaxation-based yoga."

Students are told to "bring your cannabis and way to consume it," with the caveat that "a medical marijuana card is required or else you'll have to 'enhance' before class."

The class, which typically contains 10-12 students, spends 15 minutes consuming cannabis, then another 90 on "relaxation-based" hatha yoga.

Dussault, who says she's also a sex educator and relationship coach, isn't new to the weed/yoga thing: she says she's the first Western yoga instructor in the West to offer these types of classes, which she started teaching in Toronto back in 2009.

Interested? At present, she's offering weekly classes on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at Merchants of Reality (285 9th Street). Classes are $15 each.
