Even though we all should have stopped paying attention at least a week ago, I have an update for you about reputed "hot felon" Jeremy Meeks, who remains in a Stockton jail and may or may not have a modeling contract as a result being so hot.

As CBS 5 and others are reporting, the 30-year-old Meeks was indicted by a grand jury late last week on possession of a semiautomatic .45 caliber pistol that was transported across state borders in the commission of grand theft. We also learn that among the seven felony charges, he was arrested under was "street terrorism."

Meeks could face up to a year in prison for the gun charge, and that could definitely put a damper on his prospective modeling career, which a Hollywood agent has been making quick work to line up. The reported contract he was offered by L.A.-based Blaze Models has not, in fact, been signed according to one of Meeks's reps, who clarified things with Antiviral on Thursday. The rep says that rumor was false, and says, "We haven't even talked to Blaze [Models] at all."

It does seem kind of odd that a modeling agency would even want to enter into a contract with a jailed felon who could be in jail for quite some time.

Meanwhile, Meeks's mother, Leanna Rominger, has only raised $5,000 of her $25,000 GoFundMe goal to help fund Meeks's defense.
