Early Saturday morning around 2:20 a.m., a driver blew a red light on Folsom Street near Cesar Chavez, striking another another vehicle and a third car in the process. The driver and several passengers fled the scene on foot. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to San Francisco General, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Johny Castillo-Alonzo of Daly City. He died Sunday. The driver of the third vehicle also sustained minor injuries.

As of Monday afternoon, no suspects were in custody, but SFPD has a lead on their runaway driver. According to police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy, one of the passengers in the suspect's 4-door black Infinitix stayed on the scene and is being interviewed as part of the investigation.
