It's been nearly a year since Estrogen Entree With a Side of Balls, San Francisco's monthly showcase of local female comedians, first hit the stage. Don't you think tonight's a great night to catch up with them for some laughs?

Hosted by Tuesday Thomas and Laura Franzese, EEWASOB features six of the area's best emerging female comics, and, oh yeah, a sole male comedian. Basically, they're flipping the traditional gender makeup of most comedy shows, for real! And you can see that flip at Cobb's Comedy Club tonight at 8 PM.

"While stand up comedy is dominated by male talent," Franzese tells SFist, "this new showcase provides a stage for women comics to shine." Tonight's guests are Kathy Gamboa, Liz Stone, Molly Sanchez, and Jill Wiener. DNA will also appear, in the role of the "side of balls."
