Still blazing hot one-year-old Mission bar Trick Dog debuts the third incarnation of their drink menu today, after updating only once since their opening last January. This new round of drinks, in cleverly printed wheel form, are all inspired by and named for the 12 signs of the zodiac.
This new drink list follows on the opening menu, based on and printed like a Pantone color swatch book, and the second iteration which was done like an old 45 record book with each drink named after a popular song from the 50s to the 80s.
As Alcademics shows us, the twelve drinks are all just as interesting as the last menus' drinks were, including things like the Cancer (Black Grouse scotch, Ardbeg 10, salted pineapple, peanut, sage), the Pisces (white rum, rhuma agricole, Punt e Mes, grapefruit, celery, lime), and the Scorpio (Michter's rye, Benedictine, rooibos, vanilla, cardamom, ginger beer, lemon). Also, the back page of the menu features some of the bar's clever mocktails, as well as some awesome sounding low-octane drinks and highballs, like one with chile liqueur and Sioux City prickly pear soda.
And don't worry if you're a Taurus and you don't like gin. First of all, we know how stubborn you can be; and secondly, sun-sign astrology is so reductive. Your chart is probably full of fire signs.
