Perhaps Mr. Andrew Dalton—who didn't take a shine to Nombe's Ramen Burger, describing it as "underwhelming"—might enjoy this latest installment to the noodle-wrapped-burger trend: OneUP Restaurant's Ramen Burger. It sure as hell looks better, anyway.
The burger goes something like this, according to the press release: "With a bun made out of fresh ramen from a local noodle house, this inventive dish is a tasty combination of Japanese and American flavors—the burger’s all-natural beef patty is topped with mustard greens, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon and a sriracha mayo."
The Ramen Burger will run you $18 (it comes with a side of fries) and will be available for both lunch and dinner during September.
Also, a deconstructed ramen burger, this one called the Cheeseburger Ramen, will be available tonight at Hapa Ramen, a superior venue than the aforementioned. Tamara Palmer, tell us more why don't you: "Hapa Ramen proprietor Richie Nakano is currently brewing up a special broth (pictured) for his cheeseburger ramen, which he'll serve from 6-10 PM [tonight] night at Wing Wings in the Lower Haight. "
Nakano is getting ready. Are you?
