A 65-year-old vandal/senior citizen was arrested Wednesday morning in Golden Gate Park in connection with a string of attacks on defenseless local park trees. Suspect Ken Frisch was cited for malicious destruction of property, illegal tree removal, feeding squirrels and a raccoon and vigilante park labor for apparently altering a path.

Although officers say they have been on the hunt for Frisch for some time (and that he has been known to harass city gardeners) they do not believe he is the same suspect responsible for destroying over 200 young trees in the park since last September. That vandal (or vandals) is still on the loose and responsible for upwards of $50,000 worth of damage.

Frisch was busted near Chain of Lakes and JFK drives on the northwest side of the park.
