On Sunday, while most of you were either recovering from or still reveling in Bay to Breakers, a gang of drag queens and others were performing the inaugural event in an ongoing series dubbed The San Francisco Album Project. It's part of Peaches Christ Productions, and you can think of it like Trannyshack, except instead of "Cher Night" they'll be doing nights devoted entirely to great albums of the past. Sunday's event at The Chapel (777 Valencia) was all songs from seminal 1982 New Wave record, Upstairs at Eric's by Yaz.

Look for the next event in July: Radiohead's OK Computer.

Sunday's performances starred an ensemble of local performers including Stanley Frank, U-Phoria, Elijah Minnelli, Dia Dear, Nikki Sixx Mile, Raya Light, Trixxie Carr, Kim Burly, Jordan L'Moore, and Precious Moments. Above, the medley of "Goodbye 70s," "Situation," and "Winter Kills." (Forward to 2:45 to see the big transformation from the 70s to the 80s...)

Below, the semi-NSFW take on "In Your Room" by the often naked Raya Light.
