Much like that Capital Cities track the other day, we smell some major hit potential here with this new Janelle Monae track "Q.U.E.E.N." featuring Erykah Badu. Whoa. Just whoa. The lyrics include a lot of drag-isms, which have escaped the gay underground and entered the popular lexicon with the help of Rupaul's Drag Race and Scissor Sisters — things like "throwing shade" and "twerk." The video, also, is pretty terrific. And, let's not forget, everyone: "The booty don't lie."

As you may know, Monae is performing a special concert to benefit the S.F. Symphony, with the Symphony, on May 16. Tickets start at $150 and they're still available.

And, quick note: On that typewriter in the last portion of the video, that phrase he's writing over and over is, "We will create and destroy ten art movements in ten years."
