UPDATE: According to the fine folks at Saison, they have a projected opening date of 1/15. So... fingers crossed for a January opening date!

Gastronomes might have to wait even longer to hit up Joshua Skenes newest incarnation of Saison because, according to Eater, the new digs won't be ready until February. "I scored an OpenTable reservation for 1/4 but they called me to let me know the restaurant opening had been pushed back to Feb," an Eater reader claims.

The new place was tentatively scheduled to open in January.

The new Saison -- located on 178 Townsend, just across the street from this McDonald's (making it the Rainbow Grocery-Foods Co. contrast of 2013) -- boasts an open-air kitchen, much more new space, and an overall chicer interior. Best of all, though, it will no longer call the Mission home -- a neighborhood already oversaturated with eateries and assorted edible tomfoolery.
