The first batch of iPhone 5 pre-orders were sold out within an hour of being dangled in front of a rabid public at 3:01 a.m. Friday. Now if you feel compelled to pre-order (pst, you can just walk into a store on September 21 and buy one) you will have to wait until September 28 and estimated date of October 5th. (Chilling!). As TechCrunch reports, "It took 22 hours for the iPhone 4S and about 20 hours for the iPhone 4 to sell out of its pre-order."
Apple unveiled the new iPhone on Wednesday, bragging about its taller look, bigger screen, thinner waist, and new dock. Anti-iPhone sect memeber, however, are just fine with their Droids, flip phones and land lines, thank you very much.
