According to an eyewitness, a uniformed SFPD officer was busted by a mall department store loss prevention officer for allegedly trying to swipe a cheap bracelet while shopping downtown Wednesday afternoon.

As the tipster tells Mission Mission, the bad cop was "in uniform shopping with her mom" at a mall department store when she tried to slip some costume jewelry in to her pocket. Someone from security quickly stopped her and reportedly went ahead and called the real cops/the thief's coworkers to report the crime.

When asked whether she was sure one of San Francisco's finest was taken down by the long arm of Paul Blart, Mission Mission's tipster confirmed: "100% positive. badge, gun, the works."

We will, of course, update if/when we have more from SFPD.
