A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life today after being shot on Julian Avenue in the Mission last night around 1:30 a.m. The incident happened near 14th Street, and not far from the February homicide of 47-year-old Richard Sprague, who had gone out late one night for a pack of cigarettes.

There are two suspects who approached the victim, aged 20 and 25, and it appears the victim may have known them. An argument erupted, the victim threw a bottle at one of them, and then one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot him in the abdomen. His injuries are described as life-threatening.
