MUSIC: The Red Elvises will perform two sets tonight, featuring frontman Igor Yuzov's collection of "wildly talented, entertaining musicians to bring into the fold of this increasingly international party band" as a result of his perpetual globetrotting. Also featuring guests, The Started-Its. (9 p.m., Cafe Du Nord, 2170 Market Street)
FILM: Tonight's installment of Other Cinema's weekly experimental series at ATA Gallery spotlights UK wunderkind Adam Curtis’ obsessive collage-essays, which usher in a fascinating new fold in the documentary tradition, including the entire 2011 triptych All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace and the first of three hour-long episodes, Love and Power, which features a riveting Mike Wallace interview with Ayn Rand, followed by Balance of Nature and Monkey in the Machine. (8:30 p.m., ATA Gallery, 992 Valencia Street)
ART: Artist-curated group exhibition, Centering the Margin, highlights artwork that "concerns itself with spaces, events and artifacts that exist just outside of our field of vision and attention," things that require "a change of speed or shift in focus to perceive them." (7 to 10 p.m., Root Division Gallery, 3175 17th Street)
