Above is a photo of the crowd and candidates for mayor who showed up to debate issues relating to urban agriculture and green schoolyard initiatives at the SFUAA mayoral forum. From the looks of things there were plenty of interested voters, but only four candidates in attendance. Sure, scheduling conflicts occasionally do come up on the campaign trail, and these things can be incredibly boring, but wasn't it just a few short months ago when San Francisco was suddenly on "the cutting edge of the urban agriculture movement"? Have we already given up on the dream of turning every empty, paved-over lot in to a lush working farm?
Anyhow, if you'd like to read each candidate's answers on the SFUAA's questionnaire, you can find them here.
