SoMa / Assault and Robbery: On Monday at the relatively early hour of 8 p.m. a 31-year-old man was bashed in the face with a baseball bat at 8th and Howard and robbed by two assailants. [BCN/Appeal]

San Jose / Arsenal Found: Following a tip that a 63-year-old man had threatened someone, police found a cache of guns and explosives in a suburban home on North 6th Street in San Jose. They proceeded to evacuate immediate neighbors and detonate about eight explosives in two separate, loud events yesterday. [ABC 7]
