Drunk Break Dancing Comes To Oakland

Rords of the Froor, a Seattle-based dance-battle event that requires all participants to do a shot before performing one-minute routines, came to Oakland for the first time on Sunday, at the New Parish. Oakland North was there. As were many an Oakland hipster, to be sure. Organizers say the alcohol is meant to loosen up people and get more to join in. Says one, "I don’t want to say alcohol is good so everybody go drink and poison yourselves, but the big thing is to get people to dance. And alcohol gets people to dance."
