We're still not entirely sure how stock markets work (sorry, 8th grade Social Studies teacher), but we're pretty sure this Dow Jones-reliant happy hour special at Credo in the Financial District is a good deal: For every 100 points the Dow Jones Industrial Average drops on the previous day, Credo will be hacking a buck off of their already reasonable happy hour prices.
If we googled the data right, the Dow dropped over 400 points on Thursday, which means beers and wines by the glass are just a buck at trader-friendly Happy Hour from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. this afternoon. (Happy hour normally runs until 6:30 p.m, but we're told they're closing early today.) If you can't pop off work early today, the deal runs through the end of August, so now is as good a time as any to start watching the markets.
