Last night around 8 p.m, an argument between a 21-year-old walking along the 3200 block of Mission Street on the Bernal/La Lengua border and a suspect in a black vehicle turned sour when the suspect pulled a gun on the pedestrian. The victim was shot in the leg and transported to SF General for treatment of injuries that authorities report were not life-threatening. Meanwhile, the ever-watchful Burrito Justice, who was nearby ordering pupusas at the time, rated SFPD's response:

It happened pretty fast. I was across the street and thought it was a backfire until I saw a guy hopping away being helped by friends. It may have been a drive-by but I’m really not sure.

The good news was the cops were there in under a minute, and a pretty impressive response. Pictures below (sorry they are so light streaky but I had just ordered pupusas).

So, not quite a drive-by, but more like a roll-along. The suspect in the vehicle hadn't been found as of this morning. Anyone else with info on the shooting is encouraged to call the tipline at: (415) 575-4444 or via text message to TIP411.
