Oh boy, oh boy: Leah Garchik and Paolo Lucchesi will make cameo appearances Wednesday night behind the bar at Traci Des Jardins' Jardinière. It's all part of the restaurant's monthly guest-bartending series. See, noted lady-about-town and SF Chronicle columnist Garchick will serve an (organic) umbrella-adorned (!) tequila cocktail called the 25th Palm for $9.00 a pop, while Inside Scoop editor Lucchesi assists Garchik with any and all mixology/sidekick needs. (We except wisecracks galore, Paolo.)
The evening will also feature an Albondigas Torta food pairing for $9.00
Much to the thrill of the entire Bay Area -- nay, the entire culinary world -- your very own SFist editor made a guest appearance back in October. It was loads of fun. We highly recommend checking it out. (Guest-bartending nights bring out all sorts of local color.) Unlike our selfishly charity-free stint, however, all proceeds from Garchik and Lucchesi's night will go to the Human Rights Watch organization. (Thanks for making us look bad, guys.)
And if that’s not enough star power, Naomi Pomeroy of Oregon’s Beast Restaurant, who was a contest on Top Chef Masters along with Des Jardins, with join Traci in the kitchen that night. The two will serve a five-course prix fixe dinner for $85, along with the regular Jardiniere menu, if you want to stay and dine after soaking up your umbrella-topped cocktails. Seeing as how it's Top Chef Masters fare, $85 is a steal.
We'll be there. Will you?
