Gavin Newsom Already Eyeballing the Governor's Office (Again)

With some three years and nine months left in his term as Lite Gov. Gavin Newsom has started started seeking help raising money to tackle another run at the top spot in Sacramento, reports the Chronicle's mustachioed duo Matier & Ross this morning. Nobody in Newsom's office wanted to comment on the record, but the pair remind us that Gavin's re-election campaign committee is already in place and there's nothing to stop him from turning that in to an election committee for the higher office. It shouldn't come as a surprise, really. We know his hairness was never that happy to be taking the sidekick gig in the first place, but do you really not have anything else to work on right now, Gavin?
