Men. What is wrong with them? Take, for example, The Wild Within's Steve Rinella, who recently visited San Francisco eating only food he harvested (legally!) within the city limits. "He looks everywhere, including the streets, piers, sketchy overpasses and abandoned places," explains the press release. Somewhere along the 280 101, Rinella finds a freshly killed raccoon, which he pets, picks up, rips apart, cooks, and then serves to unsure dinner guests.
And, yes, we know roadkill game is a common source of protein for many people in different parts of the country. (The Joy of Cooking's illustration on how to skin a grey squirrel is a longtime favorite.) But, well, we can't imagine. However, we feel the urge to escort Rinella to the Ritz-Carlton for high tea and watercress soup. That, we think, would be most transgressive. Anyway.
