SFPD's Twitter and Facebook feeds garner many fascinating reports, such as the previously mentioned unsolved armed robbery case.

Another recent report boasts of a successful sting operation geared toward combating illegal Late Night Muni transfers. The investigation started in March with surveillance set up at 16th and Mission Streets (good choice), and police made two major arrests on July 15th. One of the suspects is a Muni mechanic who was supplying the transfers. We have to ask -- was the extra cash really worth losing such a cush union job over?

The investigation is still ongoing, so watch your backs when some shady dude offers to sell you a transfer for $1.
