The proliferation of smart phones and iPads has been causing AT&T's urban networks some strain, namely "dropped calls, slow downloads and other problems," but the company announced today that it completed an upgrade of the New York City network. They opened up more room on the airwaves for their 3G network there, and a similar upgrade is still to come in S.F. [AP]
