It's the event you've all been waiting for--another Tim Burton feature presentation! And maybe this one will actually work! Burton, the master of fairy tale reinterpretation topped with a haunting Gothic fetish is releasing his CGI-tastic Alice In Wonderland today. It's very possible that Johnny Depp fanatics and Lewis Carroll geeks have been crossing the days off their calendars for months while being teased relentlessly by the looming movie advertisements, which mostly concentrate on Depp, who looks out of his mind (for a change).

No, but really, we're excited too. Give us any excuse to don a pair of 3-D glasses, and we're sold. Unlike its many predecessors, this take of Carroll's 19th century tale explores an older, paler Alice, who revisits her friends in Wonderland as a 19 year old, but must help them to overthrow the Red Queen (a bobble-headed Helena Bonham Carter).

Lucky for us, the Castro Theatre will be doing their own presentation of Alice In Wonderland all day and into the next month. Catch the movie today at 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and 9:45pm!
