WRAP Marches Up Market Street For Affordable Housing

WRAP Marches Up Market Street For Affordable Housing

Carrying signs that said "House Keys Not Handcuffs," an advocacy organization for homeless people called WRAP (Western Regional Advocacy Project) had a hundred or so couple hundred people marching up the uptown lanes of Market Street this afternoon. The organization seeks to bring attention to the root cause of homelessness in this country, which they say, plain and simple, is federal funding cutbacks for affordable housing. From their site: "To think of homelessness as a result of individual failure is wrongheaded. Our report documents and analyzes systemic factors that expose this national shame."
