Described as a time to "celebrate, mourn, and strategize," The life of Oscar Grant, who was gunned down by BART cop Johannes Mehserle on New Year's Day of 2009, will be honored tomorrow in the East Bay. On New Year's Day 2010, a family vigil will take place at the Fruitvale BART station from 2 to 4 p.m., then something described as a "rally for justice" will go down from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by a performance at Humanist Hall (390 27th Street, between Broadway and Telegraph) from 6 to 11 p.m. featuring spoken word and music.

So, yeah, there you have it. Check it out if you're still angry. Which, we suppose, you still should be. Anyway, read more about it over at kooky IndyBay.
