ART: Artist Paul Madonna will debut his annual publication, Album, along with an exhibit of his corresponding large-scale, pen-and-ink drawings of '70s and '80s era toys, which serve as a catalog to the book. In the smaller Electric Works gallery, artist Ian Huebert will exhibit his images from an "(imagined?) Plain States landscape." The exhibit runs through January 9, 2010.

COMPETITION: The Institute for Aesthletics presents a Drinking and Dancing Competition. For the most points, contestants should coordinate their beverages with their dance, their partner, their music, and their liver. The stronger (and fancier) the drink the better, in the judges' book -- as long as you can still dance! There are two types of dances: In the open floor competition, contestants will all dance to the same music, and in the knockout tournament, dancers dance to their own pre-selected music. Beer, wine, vodka, gin, orange and cranberry juice, and Izze sodas will be on hand for dancers, and entrants may bring their own ingredients. Synth pop band Adonisaurus will perform, and guest judge Fauxnique (Monique Jenkinson) will accompany Aestletics judge Tom Russotti.
