MUSIC: Tonight kicks off the 10th Annual Electronic Music Festival, which runs through Saturday and showcases "a wide array of electronic music pioneers, modern innovators, and emerging artists, ranging in diverse styles and methods from contemporary classical, glitch, music concrete, sound art, free improvisation and experimental pop." Tonight's line-up includes Miya Masaoka (New York), Lukas Ligeti (New York), and Amy X Neuburg (Oakland).
8 p.m. // Brava Theater (2789 24th St) // $16
STORY-TELLING: Bawdy Storytelling is a monthly series that gives participants a platform to brag about their sexual encounters -- without any prepared notes to fall back on. This month's theme is On Assignment for Bawdy Storytelling: Stories from the Trenches, in which prospective storytellers have been out for the past month seeking carnal pleasures to relay to tonight's audience, "from hotel sex with pornstars to girl-on-girl online action to meet-me-on-Travelzoo flights to locales unknown."
7 p.m. // Jellyfish Gallery (1286 Folsom Street) // $7
THEATER: The SF Fringe Festival is in full swing, and one of tonight's productions is Inside Private Lives, a participatory improv show featuring four historical figures that rotate each night. The performance is based heavily on audience participation, so be prepared! As some audience members advise, have a drink or two beforehand.
8:30 p.m. // Exit Theatre (156 Eddy St) // $10-12
