The deaths in question involved two shootings, the murder of a Marina nail and beauty salon owner, a person who was chased down by a car, and the fifth was a hit-and-run by a suspected burglary in Noe Valley. Police have arrested people involved in both shootings and the burglary suspect.

All this brought the total of thirty homicides this year, double the amount of last year.
