Driving can be a real pain, as we're expected to retain a level of alcoholic responsibility while everyone else on the road appears to be hammered into oblivion. Taxis can be hard to get, especially for anyone who doesn't already have a lot of them cruising around their neighborhood.
Public transportation seems a reasonable solution to our travel needs tonight, and most of our local agencies are offering free or discounted rides (more money for booze, yee-haw!). We're tempted to go out and just ride around all night like in that Smirnoff commerical.
BART is running until nearly 3 a.m. and is offering a $6 pass that allows unlimited BART use from 6 p.m. tonight to the 3 a.m. close.
Muni is free from 8 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. tomorrow. There will be extended hours for many of your favorite lines (N Judah represent!).
And for those of you coming or going down south, Caltrain will be free after 11 p.m., and will run three extra trains up to 2 a.m.
