We love the Gate/Chronicle's Daily Dish, in large part due to the fact that we think it's so freakin' cute that a little glass dish is "rung" when it goes up. While we did note that they started allowing comments in August, it hasn't been until recently that we've started reading them.

Upon our first reading, so many emotions rushed through our brains, everything from gratitude at our own commenters' comparative erudition (hell, not even "comparative". Our commenters are smart!), to deep envy at the sheer bulk of their comments (Jesse James opening a burger place, 2 comments!), to laughter at the sheer hilarity of it all (a recent post on Madonna got 13 comments, including one from a commenter entitled "Horse who thru her". Har!)

Sure, the Daily Dish rarely includes items we haven't already read somewhere else, but we don't care. Any staleness or repetition of news is more than made up for by the awesomeness of their commenters. We think it's so cool that the usually staid and sensible Chronicle is developing a commenter community, especially one that is so freakin' entertaining. We raise our Diet Coke at their bad-assery, and encourage them to keep it up.
