No word yet on if they'll be suspending mail delivery or if we don't have to go to work tomorrow, but July 14, 2005 has been declared "Embarcadero Center Cinema" Day in San Francisco by your Mayor Gavin Newsom.

The theater is turning 10 years old (appropriate gifts for this age might include a Choose Your Own Adventure book or a science set) this year (hence the holiday), and for only 15 bucks you can join in the fun.

And what fun it is! At 7:30 there's a a sneak preview benefit (proceeds go to the SFFS) screening of the Spanish film , along with a pre-film party (which starts at 5:30) in Gallery One, the new art gallery at One Embarcadero (Lobby Level, one floor below the theater. We've heard great things about this movie, and the Embarcadero has the cutest theater employees in town (if that sounds superficial, it's because we are), so you know we're down!
