Being a music snob of the first order, I was more than a little nervous when my new love asked me to accompany him to three sold-out nights in a row of Phil Lesh and Friends December 17-19 at the Warfield. Would this be the end of the affair, then, since I am not a Dead fan and, in fact, typically mock hippies and all things Dead-related as irrelevant and anachronistic? But this new love is smoking hot, so I decided to accept the invitation and make a sincere effort to keep an open mind.
