If SFist answered to mammon instead of to you, our readers, we might bother to have a big budget pick this week. But look at what's out there! Dude, it's so not going to happen, as, to paraphrase SFist Jon, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" about any of this week's mainstream releases.

So, since we're giving the finger to the capitalist studio pigs this week, let's check out some of the film festivals in the City this weekend.

The Roxie and Castro play host to the second San Francisco International South Asian Film Festival, which promises "a sample of art house classics, documentary films, and the latest Bollywood sizzle." The fun begins on Saturday at the Castro with a showing of Reason, Argument, and Story by influential independent Indian director Ritwik Ghatak. The festival is presented by 3rd I, a "a non-profit, national organization committed to promoting diverse images of South Asians through independent film."
